In Loving Memory of

Edward M. Oberman, CPA

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ed Oberman, our founder, mentor and friend on March 9, 2015.  Ed worked in the accounting field for 30 years.  He was a very hard working, responsible man with the total business package.  He learned business from his father at a very young age in Stamford, CT where he started his first business.  He graduated from Widener University in 1986 where he earned a BA in Accounting with a minor in Management Information Systems.  After college, he worked at a small accounting firm in Darien, CT and learned how to provide services to individual and small businesses.  Later he spent many years at Price Waterhouse working with Fortune 500, New York Stock Exchange and Small Emerging Growth Companies.  He interacted with Corporate CEOs, SFOs and high net worth individuals and helped them with their financial affairs.  It was there that he fine-tuned his technical expertise and business presentation skills.  Ed's passions in life led to his success.  He always dreamed of having his own business.  In December, 1992 he opened his own firm.  He applied his distinctive experiences to the small to medium size business owner and the individual clients and the results were extraordinary.  He loved his clients and staff and considered them part of his family.  In July, 2014 he was diagnosed with cancer and it broke his heart in January, 2015 when he had to transition the firm to new partners.  But as in everything in his life he did the right thing.  He found wonderful partners who will continue the business with the values and work ethic that Ed imbedded in the firm for all these years.

Those of you who were fortunate enough to know him will remember his energy, his smile and that he cared.  He would tell you no to be sad but to celebrate his life and live the values you loved in him.  We will carry his memory in our hearts forever.
